Imagine 5 – Nature’s calling, let’s listen!
πΉπΌπΈ As usual, Grandma Sita is planting seeds to enjoy her beautiful garden. Luckily, she got a great present from Imagine 5, a bag of seeds. More flowers I’m thankful for. Happy first day of Spring everyone!
π Grandma Sita is fascinated by how the seeds are tucked into the soil and they take great care by watering them and waiting for them to grow in her garden, soon full of flowers and veggies. π»π
β»οΈ Plastic pots can easily be reused and recycled in the garden. Pots can be washed with warm soapy water after each use to make sure there are no pests or diseases, stored safely and used to pot on plants, sow seeds and for propagation. If you look after them, they can be used time and time again.
π’ Over the last half-century, there has been a general decline in the species richness of wild bees and other pollinators, probably attributable to stress from increased parasites and disease, the use of pesticides, and a general decrease in the number of wildflowers. Climate change probably exacerbates the problem.
ππ We all need to protect migratory bees, they are our survival insurance. It is estimated that one-third of the human food supply depends on pollination by insects, birds and bats, most of which is accomplished by bees, whether wild or domesticated.
